Lifting some groceries?   Reaching for something on a high shelf  or picking something up off the floor? Maybe just working at your desk day in, day out and getting nagging neck pain?  Not exactly pushing the limits of athleticism.

So why all the problems from such routine activities? Shouldn’t your body work better than that?… Especially if you exercise?? Obviously something’s getting lost in translation between the gym and real life. The truth is that in our feverish quest to lose weight, control our blood pressure and get six-pack abs, we forgot something. It’s called function. Your body is an impressive feat of engineering, remarkably designed for optimal function. And to achieve the most function possible, it simply makes sense to use that incredible design as the basis for your exercises. In other words, when it comes to exercise, you can use your body’s design to your advantage…or you can work against it. You’ll get a lot more bang for your sweat with the former. So it’s up to you: Do you just want to look good, or do you also want to FUNCTION BETTER?…
